This featured set of Japanese import little (3'') boy and girl sailor salt and pepper shakers is relatively common, especially found "plainly" colored in the photograph on the upper far left.
But the set becomes more brilliant with more and more gold added to it occasionally. Below the more common gold trim is pictured. All the sets are the same with large and small 5 pour holes, cork stoppers, and typically red inked "Japan" stamp on the bottom. Circa 1950s.
