One of the unique aspects of this set is how the fish and pelican were created to allow the fish tails to slip through an opening in the mouth of the pelican.  Although it may look precarious, the fish are very well secured.

What is also enjoyable about this set is the size - at only three inches in height, it is one of the smaller "hanger" type shakers you may encounter.

The pelican is stamped "Francie" on the bottom.  A quick Google search finds that one of the meanings of the word "Francie" is "from France".  Circa 1950s-60s.
