A sixth set belonging to this series has been discovered - pigs. Maybe or maybe not this series is complete.
Pigs
Photographed here and documented for the first time is a series of vintage pink farm animals that were imported by Napco from Japan, circa 1950s. Many of the sets have their silver foil Napco label still attached. They are additionally stamped "1903/6".
The shakers in this series shares obvious characteristics including their embedded rhinestones on their bodies and delicate red roses. Not as obvious (partly because of the coloring of the photos), is that each shaker is light pink in color. But the pink is not painted on to the shakers, but rather the ceramic / porcelain itself has a pink color. This is best appreciated by looking at the bottoms of these sets.
A correct pair should be facing each other as photographed. The sets have 3 and 2 pour holes and stand between 2.75 and 3 inches in height.
