Japan Cats on Pillows and Wearing Ribbons or Bows salt and pepper shakers

Not quite...I thought we'd found the third and final set in this series, but upon closer inspection we have two duplicate singles paired up as  a set photographed to the far right.  Please refer to page 37 in Irene Thornburg's big reference book on salt and pepper shaker series to see the missing set.  Hope to have this updated with the complete set shortly.

These cats are great even as stand alone sets.  They are definitely Holt Howard-like with those eyes and whiskers.  Each cat of course sits on matching shaped pillows and have either bows or ribbons around their necks.  The sets have Japan stickers making them imports from the 1950s or 1960s.  A correct pair should have a 3 and 2 pour hole pattern.
